Facing My Fears

Gracious Lord,

I am so frightened about things that are happening in the world today.  Help me, Lord!  Forgive me for not trusting in Your promises and letting fear grip my heart.  Increase my faith, so I can trust in You more, knowing that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness.

 Give me peace not to fear the terror of the night or the arrows that fly by day because You rescue me and You protect me.  I praise you, Savior, for holding me close to Your heart in Your loving arms.

Give me the confidence to say with David:  I will fear no evil for You are with me,  Thank You, Lord, for taking my fears from me and replacing them with the confidence of knowing You are greater than anything that could frighten me. 

In Your holy and peaceful name.
